What’s Recovery Like For a Facelift Procedure?
Women and men are often worried about pain related to a facelift procedure (rhytidectomy). Dr. Haeck, a board-certified plastic surgeon in Seattle for more than 25 years explains why a facelift is actually one of the easiest procedures from which to recover. Call him at 206-860-4684.
Hi, I’m Dr. Phil Haeck. I’m a board-certified plastic surgeon. I’ve worked in Seattle for over 25 years. I’m working at the Polyclinic Plastic Surgery and today I want to talk to you about facelifts (rhytidectomy).
So women (and men) want to know what’s the recovery like after my facelift and here’s the key, and only a plastic surgeon will know this; it’s a lot less painful than you might think because you’re going to be numb afterwards. As we move your skin and your face and your neck, we’re actually cutting some of those sensory nerves so that your sensation will be temporarily gone for up to two weeks to three weeks or a little bit longer. So if you have no sensation, even if you’re swollen, you probably won’t have much pain. I’ve seen plenty of women go through a facelift (rhytidectomy) with Tylenol.
